Liking what he sees
Why is it that a baby can spend 15 straight minutes just looking at his reflection in the mirror, screaming, laughing, squealing and being generally over the moon with happyness in the process?

It's known as 'the mirror phase', Freud wrote about it. I'd recommend reading about it via Lacan's interpretation though. It' fascinating- the baby being happy is a good sign in that, as far as the theory goes, what he views in the mirror can affect his adult perception of himself. :)
